Sewer Connections for New Build and Conversion

Key Tasks:

Source all utilities drawings required including payment of fees

Facilitate S50 application to Cambridgeshire County Council (CC),

Fill out & email 3 x Works Forms & send to CC during works as and when required

Draw up suitable Method Statements, Risk Assessments, sequence of works etc for Anglian Water

Supply and set out cones, barriers & signs as per NRSWA requirements, CC will allow us to use ‘give and take’ traffic management

Excavate in highway amongst existing services, lay 100mm clay pipe in gravel surround at required depth in carriageway and footway, assumed max depth. approx. 1.8m

Connect to AW surface water sewer in road by way of saddle connection,

Same work in respect of foul water but will make a junction insertion

Arrange inspection by Anglian Water, backfill in stages with inert material & hardcore as required

Lay 100mm layer 20mm base tarmac and reinstate sharp sand and blocks as found

Sewer Connections for New Build and Conversion

We recently completed foul and surface water connections at a building in the beautiful market town of St Neots. An old office conversion aswell as 4 new build developments required connecting to the Anglian Water sewers.

Based on the Market Square, we had to be fully vigilant as well as extra considerate of the general public, especially on Thursdays when it was the locally famous `Farmers Market`.

We completed the works on time and within budget.

A fantastic job, carried out on time, despite atrocious weather conditions. This included lifting a digger over the house to dig deep foundations, with the work being carried out during 2 weeks of continuous torrential rain! Very impressive work.

Most plant & machinery we use is owned by us and maintained to the highest standards.

All plant & machinery is checked every day by our operatives prior to starting work in the morning, and documentation is kept in the machines at all times to this effect.
